Welcome!

I am Fan Wang, a Senior Biostatistician supporting clinical research at Vertex Pharmaceuticals, with a focus on real-world evidence studies and clinical trials. I earned my PhD in Statistical Sciences from the University of Toronto, followed by three years as a Postdoctoral Research Scientist in Biostatistics at Columbia University. My research focuses on statistical genetics, clinical trials, high-dimensional inference, and large-scale biomedical studies.

Having worked in both academia and industry, I understand the opportunities and challenges of pursuing different career paths. I enjoy sharing what I've learned along the way and connecting with students who are exploring their own academic and professional interests. Whether you have questions about coursework, research, career paths, or what comes next, feel free to reach out. I'm always happy to connect and exchange ideas!

Teaching

My teaching integrates statistical foundations with practical computing and real-world applications in data science, biostatistics, and genomics.
